I got a phone call from this number, and the bloke on the other end said he was Mark Slater from the Halifax fraud team. He mentioned he'd intercepted an online transaction of £72.94 for some place called Costa in Birmingham. Funny enough, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a call like this; last time, it was followed by some dodgy transactions on my card. I ended up calling my bank using the number printed on my card, asked them to freeze my account and arrange for a new card to be issued. Better safe than sorry, right?

Received a call supposedly from the fraud department for Halifax credit cards, which was quite alarming. The caller was quite aggressive, hinting they would freeze all of my accounts if I dared to end the conversation. Decided it was best to hang up regardless.

From what I've gathered in the comments earlier, it seems they're purporting to represent Lloyd's Bank. In my own experience, they had the audacity to assert they were from Halifax.

This caller was pretending to be from Halifax’s fraud department. Totally not legit. They tried to scare me into giving personal info but I wasn’t having any of it! Be careful, folks.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Matthew from the Lloyds fraud department, requesting my card reader details to log in. I’d advise anyone to hang up straight away; it doesn’t seem legit at all!

We’ve had a run-in with scammers pretending to be representatives from Lloyds Bank. Quite peculiar, as they sounded like genuine Brits rather than the usual overseas call centre voices you tend to expect. They did rattle off a few pieces of our information, but thankfully we refrained from providing them with anything further.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds Bank's fraud team, speaking with a British accent. They wanted our bank details, but when we said we'd contact Lloyds directly, they started threatening to cancel our cards. Thankfully, we didn't share any info, though the caller already had my name and phone number, which was a bit creepy.

Some bloke said he was from Lloyds bank, even had my name right. But when I asked him to prove he knew anything personal about me, he couldn’t. I asked why he was calling since Lloyds doesn’t do direct calls like that, and he just switched the topic. He’d got the card details wrong and was guessing stuff. Then he demanded my account numbers and usernames, threatening to freeze my accounts if I didn’t comply. I told him go ahead then, and he just hung up. Total scammer.
