Got a robocall about some yb fraud, told me to press any button. Was suspicious right away since it's automated and there's loads of dodgy calls going around. Never give out your personal details to anyone, not even your bank, they should already have that info. Seeing mixed reviews, some say it's legit, others call it a scam. If it was genuine, I'm sure they'd call back direct.

got a call claiming to be from Yorkshire Bank about suspicious transactions on my account, but it was an automated voice. i phoned the bank using their official 24 hr customer service number, not the number from the call, in case it was a scam. they confirmed it was legit, and i also got a text message which they said was genuine. they told me the check was because of a payment going to the US, and they do these checks randomly to make sure i was aware of the transfer. number was definitely genuine.

Yorkshire Bank really looking out for its customers. Their fraud team spotted some weird transactions - turns out the site where we got my daughter’s birthday gift wasn’t very secure after all. Lesson learnt, but yeah, this number is legit.

Got a call from what sounded like Yorkshire Bank, some robot telling me to press 1 to verify my name and DOB. I hung up straight away and phoned YB using the 0800 number from my statement. They told me it was a scam. Makes you wonder how these scammers got hold of my info in the first place, maybe Yorkshire Bank should be looking into that.

They claimed to be from the Yorkshire Bank fraud department. Like many folks, I ended the call and dialled Yorkshire Bank myself on 08004561247. They verified that the call was genuine. The good news is that it was them. The bad news, my bank account had been compromised. Thankfully, they managed to freeze my account straight away. Big thanks to Yorkshire Bank, really top service!

Got two calls from this number today, 22/11/18 - one came through at 8.40am and the other at 12.20pm. I got a text message out of the blue, calling me Mr Vincent and claiming there were strange charges on my debit card from Yorkshire Bank, asking me to ring a particular number. Then they kept ringing me, and the calls sounded just like the official Yorkshire Bank voicemail, with the same accent even. They said they were from the Fraud team and wanted me to press certain buttons to confirm if I was really Mr Vincent. I checked with Yorkshire Bank and they told me they would never ask for that kind of info, not in a million years.

Just wanted to give a quick update since I posted before - I’ve got my new card and pin now, so anyone saying this isn’t from Yorkshire Bank is either making stuff up or has the wrong info. If it’s the latter, then Yorkshire Bank really should improve staff training. It’s worrying if folks aren’t properly checking to see if their card details have been used without permission. In my situation though, I’m happy Yorkshire Bank acted quickly and sorted things out.

The person you spoke to at Yorkshire Bank clearly didn’t have all the facts, which is worrying since it could put you at risk of fraud. If their systems detect something suspicious, they sometimes send automated calls. When I rang them back on another line, they told me they’d been trying to reach me about a potential fraud alert. They've cancelled my card and sent me a replacement already.

i got a bit worried and hung up the phone while they were still talking. then i rang yorkshire bank but made sure to hang up and call back because ive heard scammers keep the line open. it was yorkshire bank fraud team. they told me there was a suspicious attempt to use my card today and their system flagged it as unusual. i told them it wasnt me so they blocked the card. good job yorkshire bank!
