This morning, shortly after I accessed my Santander online banking, I received an odd call that piqued my curiosity. They were inquiring about an error and requested to verify my name and date of birth. I promptly ended the call, as I always do with such suspicious inquiries. If any of you are banking with Santander as well, it might be worth reporting this incident!

Since Friday evening, I've been receiving incessant calls on my mobile, my husband's phone, and our home line. When they asked me to verify my date of birth, I wasn’t too surprised since I was anticipating a call from my bank. I went along with confirming the day and month, but when they pressed for the year, I decided to hang up.

I've been inundated with calls from this number, both on my mobile and my landline. Each time, it's an automated voice blaring about some alleged fraud involving a hefty sum of money. They go on to prompt me to verify my name, followed by a request for my date of birth, all without any context or introduction regarding who they are or the purpose of the call. I put an end to the conversation the moment they began fishing for my personal information.
