I got a robo call that had my husband’s name and even the last four numbers of his card in it. Since he was busy, it told me to ask him to ring 03330459804 about some weird activity on his card. Bit worrying, to be honest.

This number isn’t a scam at all, it actually belongs to the Fraud Team at Clydesdale Bank. They got in touch with my daughter after noticing some dodgy activity on her account. She tried to buy something online and the payment got blocked because it looked fishy, so the bank phoned her up to make sure the transaction was legit. Pretty solid security measures, I’d say!

Got a call today from a number that sounded exactly like it was from Clydesdale Bank. This phone number aint from Clydesdale Bank or any legit company! It's proper dodgy and looks like a scam run by some gang. I nearly fell for it recently, but cheers to Clydesdale Banks' anti-fraud measures, they managed to stop it, track it down and let me know in less than an hour! Big respect to Clydesdale! Watch out, this is a total scam. They pretend to be from Clydesdale Bank, saying there’s suspicious activity on your debit card. They tell you the last 4 digits of your card to make it seem legit, then try to get more info by asking you to enter details on your phone keypad. First, they want you to confirm those last 4 numbers. Then they ask for your birth year. Luckily, I hung up at that point. I rang my actual bank, and they confirmed it wasn’t them calling. They said their fraud team changes their phone number often, but if it was genuine, they’d first send a text before calling you.

WATCH OUT, this number is definitely linked to scams, or someone has cloned it. I got a call from it earlier and they claimed to be from Clydesdale but hung up before I could say anything. I rang my bank right after and they confirmed it wasn’t them. Best not to pick up if you see this number, just ring Clydesdale directly on 08003457365 to be safe.

Scammers have faked (copied) every number that banks use. If your bank calls or texts you, listen to what they say but don’t reply or act right away. Hang up, make sure your line is clear, then ring your bank using the number on the back of your card or paperwork. A real bank rep won’t mind you double-checking. Don’t wait ages though, in case there’s a real problem with your account. Stay careful everyone!

It was totally the bank. I got a text before the call asking if I had made a purchase for a certain amount or if it was fraudulent. I missed the call at first but then rang the number on the back of my card. The person I spoke to was really helpful and confirmed what the message said. They connected me to the fraud team, who took my details and sorted out the hold on my card. So yeah, it's legit, just the bank checking in!

This was an actual call from the Clydesdale fraud team. I didn’t ring the number they left, instead I looked up Clydesdale’s fraud contact on their official website to double check. They said your card might get blocked if you don’t answer the call, but if you’re unsure, best to go straight to their site and ring them from there.

Got a recorded message saying it was from Clydesdale Bank's Fraud Team. They even used my full name. I was about to press a number when I hung up and blocked it straight away. Then I rang Clydesdale fraud helpline from another phone and they told me they’d just stopped a dodgy payment coming from Kenya and were about to contact me. Definitely a risky call to watch out for.
