Got a call supposedly from Lloyds Bank’s Fraud Dept. but after checking my account, Lloyds say nothing fishy going on. They told me they never tried to call and don’t know that number at all. Total scam attempt - watch out everyone!

This number called me with a recorded message saying there was some dodgy activity on my Lloyds credit card. It sounded a bit off, so I ended the call and rang Lloyds directly using the phone number listed on their official site. After verifying my identity and having a quick word with someone in their fraud department, I got transferred to the credit card team. They assured me the original call was legit and sorted out the fraud issue by cancelling my card and posting me a replacement.

Totally a scam. I ran the message through an AI and it flagged it as a usual scam, even gave a clear explanation about why.

Today I saw 10 calls I missed and found 5 voicemails waiting for me. Was at work all day, so couldn’t pick up. Every voicemail had the same robotic message telling me to press any button for a fraud check. Honestly, how would tapping a key on my phone help stop fraud? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Seems like this number’s linked to Lloyds Credit Card Fraud team. They’re apparently working with Fair Isaac Services Ltd, but none of the Lloyds staff seem to know about it. Really makes staying clear of scams quite tricky.

Didn’t pick up my mobile but left a voicemail saying someone was using my card and they could assist with credit card fraud. Then, shortly after, I got a call on my landline with the exact same message. Plus, during the night, I received a strange text on my phone about a transaction.

Got three calls from this number on 8th December. Just rang them back today and an automated message claimed it was Lloyds Bank checking some suspicious activity on my card. Thing is, I've never had a card from Lloyds nor have I been a customer there. So either they've got someone else's number by mistake or it’s some scammers pretending to be from Lloyds fraud team. If you get a call like this, best to ring the number on your own bank card to double-check.

Just got a call from Lloyds Credit Card Fraud team about a transaction I made, so this number is legit. But if the number looks unfamiliar, it's best to call the one on the back of your card to be sure. Glad to say it wasn't some kind of scam.

I got a couple of calls today from 03330459503, looked like scam calls and they left a voicemail. I called the number on the back of my card to check, and it turned out to be one of Lloyd’s fraud department lines, so maybe they were trying to reach me? Still, I always make sure to ring the number printed on my card first.

Got a call but didn’t pick up, thinking it was a scam since it had loads of searches online. Later, I read some folks saying it was legit, so I looked at my credit card and noticed some charges from early that morning that I didn’t make. I rang Lloyds using the number on the back of my card. Turns out, the call was actually from Lloyds warning me about fraud on my card. So, if you get a call from that number, make sure to double check your accounts and get in touch with Lloyds through a number you know is genuine!

This is the actual number for Lloyds Bank credit card fraud team. Sadly, it now gets flagged as "Spam" on my phone 'cos loads of folks have got the wrong end of the stick. The best thing to do is to ring the usual Lloyds internet banking line (0345 300 0116) and sort it out from there. In my situation, eBay accidentally charged me twice, my card got blocked, and I missed the text message asking me to confirm the payment was legit.

"Expect a message soon from Lloyds Bank regarding some recent transactions on your card that ends in 9232. If you fail to reply to this message, there's a chance we might block future payments on your card. Be aware that if anyone comes to you in person requesting you to reply 'yes' to our text or asking for a passcode, it's a scam - definitely not us! We need to connect with you urgently, as not addressing this could lead to complications with your card usage. Feel free to ring us anytime at 03330459503. My older folks got a call from this number, some robotic voice saying their credit card was hacked. Thankfully they checked with family first and we just ignored it. These scams really need to be cracked down on. Maybe BT could step in and sort this mess out!!

My elderly mum and dad got a call from this number, and it was one of those automated messages warning their credit card was at risk. Thankfully, they rang us first and we just ignored the whole scam. This kind of thing really needs to be sorted out. Seems like BT could step in and help put an end to these scams!

Got a text asking me to reply yes or no about a £150 payment to Mansi Flowers Ltd, which I didn’t make. I said no, and right after, that number called telling me to ring back. I didn’t bother. Then, within a couple of minutes, Lloyds called from the same number asking for my DOB, address and phone number. The bloke checked my account and saw some transactions were mine but others came from a different IP address. They ended up sending me a new card. THIS IS ACTUALLY A LEGIT NUMBER FROM LLOYDS.

I phoned Lloyds and yep, that number belongs to them but they weren't the ones who called me. Apparently scammers are using it too. I called 159 to double check and had a word with someone called Sarah in the fraud dept who told me it’s definitely a con. Just be wary and don’t share any personal details!

Got loads of calls both on my mobile and landline today. Seen this happen before, and it’s definitely not Lloyds. When you chat to whoever it is, they try to grab your info. Lloyds already knows everything about you anyway.

Taken from Lloyds Bank site If you ever get a suspicious call and worry it might be a scam, you can ring 159 to speak with them directly. It’s a fresh and secure method to contact your bank. You’re able to call this number from pretty much any landline or mobile phone provider.

Even though some say otherwise, this number is genuine, but it’s used to ring people who don’t have a Lloyds account or credit card. Just so you know, the official Lloyds contact numbers listed on their website are 0345 606 2172 and +44 1702 278 272 if you’re calling from abroad. If you call those, Lloyds will sort out your questions properly. They definitely wouldn’t advise you to trust calls from other numbers as legit.

Really stubborn but seriously dodgy scam Got a text saying I'd receive another one from Lloyds, followed by a message from someone claiming to be Lloyds about my credit card being used. Then I got a call supposedly from Lloyds too. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds anymore, let alone a credit card with them. These scammers almost got me, but no chance. I’ve reported it all to Lloyds and the ICO, including screenshots of the texts and call details.

Absolutely, my partner has been getting calls from this number as well. He even received a strange text claiming to be from the bank, stating that his card has been deactivated. We're trying to ascertain whether this is a scam or if something dubious has indeed occurred.

I received a rather unsettling automated call purporting to be from Lloyds, warning me about potential fraud. They even mentioned my name, which was quite unnerving. However, it soon became clear that it was a scam. It appears they've somehow harvested my phone details, name, and credit card provider (Lloyds in this instance) from a legitimate online purchase and are attempting to leverage this information to infiltrate my actual credit card account. Quite devious, if you ask me!

I received a voice message supposedly from Lloyds, alerting me to potential fraud. They even mentioned my name, which was quite unsettling, to say the least. However, it turns out to be nothing more than a scam. It appears that they’ve harvested my phone information, name, and details of my credit card provider (in this instance, Lloyds) from a legitimate online purchase and are attempting to misuse that information to infiltrate my credit card account. Quite alarming, really!

I too received a call from this number, approximately three times on the afternoon of 10 August. Each time, the message was identical, urging me to press any number to connect with someone. The four digits of my card were indeed close but ultimately incorrect. Additionally, I got a text from Lloyds indicating that I was expecting a call and advised me to reply. The message appeared in the same thread as previous communications from Lloyds, which left me puzzled about its legitimacy. I intend to notify Lloyds about this, as it seems designed to mislead one into thinking it’s authentic. I checked my card later to ensure it hadn't been blocked, and thankfully, it hadn't. Clearly, this is a scam.

This really is Lloyds Bank, they do have an automated system if they spot anything odd on your account. I checked with someone at my bank and they confirmed this number is legit, and those missed calls on my phone are definitely from the Lloyds Bank Fraud Team.

Got a voicemail and a couple of calls to my mobile, plus one to my landline in just 20 minutes today. Every caller said they were from Lloyds Bank Fraud Department regarding a suspicious transaction on my card. I didn't answer any of them, but decided to phone Lloyds Bank's official customer service. They told me this number really belongs to their Fraud Team, who had blocked the suspicious transaction and were trying to verify if it was actually me.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming to represent Lloyds Bank's Fraud Office. They informed me that my card had potentially been compromised and advised me to press any digit to connect with their so-called fraud team. After promptly checking my bank account online, I can confirm that everything appears to be perfectly normal. Just another scam attempt, I reckon!
