Got a text saying I asked to move a big sum from my account and to ring a number to verify. After checking with my bank, turns out that number isn’t connected to them or any of their teams.

Got a text saying I asked to move a big sum from my account, with a number to call to “confirm”. Rang the bank afterwards and they told me that number isn't connected to them or any of their services. Definitely a scam.

I was recently involved in a rather dubious £850 bank transfer and the individual I spoke to claimed their bank was Natwest.
