Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2 offering a "40% discount". I told her straight up I suspected a scam. She asked me, "How can you say that, ma'am?" Then I mentioned I could see her caller info, and she just hung up on me! Classic scammer move :)

Someone rang claiming to be from O2 and said I could get 40% off my monthly bill. The caller had a very thick Indian accent and there was so much noise in the background, I couldn’t make out a word of what they were saying.

I've been receiving calls from this number purporting to be from O2, attempting to coax me into providing my card information and moving funds. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a call from a woman with a really strong Asian accent who said she was ringing from 02. She offered a 40% discount on my bill because of the coronavirus situation. It was obviously a total scam. I made sure to hang up on her straight away, felt pretty good doing it too.

Definitely a fake call pretending to be from O2. Definitely don't trust it.

There was loads of noise in the background and a woman speaking with an Indian accent, but I just couldn’t catch what she was saying properly. It kinda sounded like “auto network” or something, so I asked a few times but it was too hard to understand. Eventually I gave up and ended the call. After seeing others mention O2, maybe that’s what she was trying to say with her strong accent! Anyway, it's blocked now!

Beware! They managed to get into my my o2 account, switched my password without me knowing, and accessed all of my personal info. Total scam.

I couldn't quite catch where the caller said they were calling from, but after reading this, I'm thinking it was probably Halifax. They said because of the coronavirus situation, they could knock off 40% from my phone bill. I just hung up straight away, seemed like total nonsense to me.

Got a call from an Indian guy saying he was with O2 and offering a 40% discount on my bill. I rang O2 to check and they told me it wasn't their call. They mentioned they'd ask for a security code that O2 supposedly sends you. Never give that code out!

I received a rather soothing call from a lady regarding an O2 promotion offering a 40% discount, supposedly in response to the impacts of COVID-19 and to retain customers. However, I'm inclined to think it’s a scam, so exercise caution!

Watch out, this is an O2 rip-off. Best not to trust it.

This woman with an Indian accent called claiming to be from O2. She told me they were giving out £45 because they’d lost loads of customers during Covid. I didn’t pay much attention after that because honestly, it sounded so unlikely. I can’t believe O2 would openly admit they’re struggling and basically beg for customers like that. I just told her I wasn’t interested and politely ended the call - seemed like a spammy call to me.

Got a call from this Indian lady claiming to be from Autonet, offering me 40% off my O2 bill. She randomly sent me a code that lets me log into my account, but I never requested anything like that. When I looked up Autonet, it turns out it’s some kind of car insurance business? Bit weird, if you ask me. 🤷‍♀️

I recently received a rather dubious call from a lady with an Indian accent, who was attempting to entice me with a 40% discount on my plan. It was rather alarming when they used my personal information to place an order for an iPhone 12 on my behalf. The caller insisted it was a mix-up and advised me to send the phone back to a specified address in Birmingham. Apparently, they would then dispatch the Samsung S21 that I had been led to believe was on its way the following day. To add to the confusion, I received several emails from an entity named "O2upgrade," which seemed legitimate, alongside a flurry of other messages from "O2Support." Strangely enough, the woman instructed me to disregard all communications except those from "O2Upgrade." However, upon contacting the genuine O2 service, I was informed that it was indeed a scam and that the only objective of these con artists was to snatch the iPhone. What baffles me is how they managed to access my personal information to zero in on me like this. It's quite concerning, really!

They rang me up claiming to be from O2, but when I asked them to verify my name, they insisted I provide it first! It's a right shambles. I reckon these folks are up to no good, pretending to be O2 representatives. Odds are they've pinched a database and are just dialling random numbers off it. Total charlatans!

Got a call claiming to be from O2, but it’s a total con to hack your mobile account. They say you’ll get two texts - one telling you a recovery code has been sent, and then the code itself. They keep insisting they don’t want any personal info, but I reckon they’re just after that code and your number to get into your O2 account. Don’t hand over the code under any circumstances!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from O2. Now, as I happen to be employed at O2's sole outbound call centre here in the UK, I can confidently assert that it was a scam through and through. They were peddling some sort of discount, which is quite laughable considering I'm already tied into a contract!
