I received a call regarding housing issues like damp and mould. The caller claimed to be from a Housing Disrepair team acting on behalf of local councils. When I inquired if they were representing local government, they categorically denied being associated with it. The chap, who had an Indian-sounding accent, was quite insufferable; he kept interrupting me and raised his voice to talk over me, all the while denying any claims about representing councils. I eventually told him he was exceptionally rude and disrespectful, and instructed him not to contact me again before I abruptly ended the conversation. To add to my annoyance, I'm actually awaiting a call from my council concerning some work that needs to be done, which is why I didn't terminate the call sooner. As a member of the Telephone Preference Service, it’s absolutely maddening to receive calls like this!
