Got a call pretending to be from Lloyds’ fraud department - complete scam! They’re definitely not who they say they are. Just hang up and report it straight away!

Got a call on my mobile from 0331 630 1448. Since I have all unknown calls go straight to voicemail (and no one even left a message), I rang them back from my home phone. When I called, an automated voice said something like, “Hi, we called about your broadband service today.” They never said who they were, so it’s obviously some sort of scam.

The number looked unfamiliar, so I just let it ring out. Later, when I looked it up here, I realised what it was and wished I'd answered. I actually enjoy messing about with these scammers - sure, they’re peddling some rubbish to me, but at least they’re not pulling a fast one on anyone else!

Got a call from this number and it was one of those robotic messages with pauses for you to answer. When I tried to find out which local council landlord they were representing, the message just circled back to an earlier bit. My council would normally state their identity, but this recording never said anything about my landlord. So, I just ended the call.

This number seemed to know my name, which was rather unsettling. They called me repeatedly, claiming to be from a housing repairs service. However, the calls ceased abruptly once I mentioned that I wasn't a tenant in any property. Odd, don’t you think?

Yet again, this number has rung me for the third time in just two days. I thought I’d give it a go and pick up. To my surprise, it was that same recorded voice of a woman, one I've encountered on previous occasions. She introduced herself as “Sarah from Housing Repair”, keen to assist with my supposed housing grievance. I mentioned that my number’s been registered with the Telephone Preference Scheme, to which the recording simply responded with an uninterested “Alright” before abruptly ending the call. I've had my fair share of these housing-related calls, and I do enjoy baiting them, but it seems today they were in no mood for a bit of fun.
