The call showed up as o2, so I picked up, but I was quite wary since my partner and I have been getting loads of dodgy calls recently. Normally, I mention that I’m not with *X network* just to check how they react. This time, they just ended the call straight away. Soon after, I got another ring from a number that was almost the same, also showing as o2, but this time they said they were from Vodafone?! Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Got a call claiming I was a loyal customer and offering me a deal on my current package. They even mentioned the price and extras I’d added on. They asked for my email and address too. While still on the phone, I looked up the number here and noticed loads of warnings about it. I rang O2 myself, and they told me they won’t call first unless I ask them to. Felt pretty dodgy, to be honest.

Watch out for calls starting with 02, mine was from one of those numbers last month. They claim it’s legit but its a total scam. When O2 ring you they use a 020 code, but these dodgy ones trick you into signing up for a phone contract, then somehow vanish and leave you stuck with a massive bill. I’ve had enough so now I’ve blocked that number. Also, if you get a call from 0330 303 5315, it’s definitely a con. Don’t pick up!
