Got a call from this number claiming to be from 02. The guy was pretty friendly and we talked a bit about my mobile contract. Then he started offering me a Galaxy smartwatch for less than usual. Since I wasn’t keen, he tried to sell me a laptop or tablet at a discount instead. I said no thanks and he just wished me a good day and hung up.

They keep claiming to be from "O2’s marketing team trying to sort you a better deal" - don’t believe it. Even when they say ‘we're legit, just need your name and number’ (might as well ask for your shoe size and bank details while they’re at it). Just hang up and if you can, block the number.

I've gotten a few calls from this number claiming to be from O2. After contacting O2 directly, they told me they don't use this number to call customers. Got another call tonight and I questioned if they really were O2, they kept insisting they were and asked for contract dates. If they were legit, surely they'd already have that info! Then they asked for our business name - felt like a phishing attempt to me. I ended the call saying I was busy and will be blocking this number from now on. Be careful out there.

Over the past couple days, I’ve had this number ringing me repeatedly. I looked it up here and found out it’s supposedly from o2. I do have an o2 pay-as-you-go sim that I hardly ever use, though I did add some credit recently. Seems like o2 might have had a leak or something. I’ve just blocked the number now.
