This was definitely a genuine call from 02, I phoned them myself to check and they confirmed it wasn’t a scam. I ended up switching my plan to a cheaper one with more data and call minutes. The woman who called had an Irish accent and was really pleasant the whole time.

I received a call from this number today, the 25th of May, 2018. I've already flagged it and blocked it! Just a heads-up for anyone else who encounters this lot-it's clearly a phishing or spam operation! I've also reported them to the Fraud Office. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, but glad I picked up this time. O2 got in touch and offered me a better deal. I’m currently paying £17 for 6GB, and they’re willing to give me 10GB for that same price. On my other phone, I’m on a 1GB plan for £13, and they offered me 2GB for £12. These deals are for SIM only. Got a call today from an Irish guy speaking so quickly I had to tell him to slow down. He said he was from O2 and wanted to thank me for being a loyal customer. I've received calls from this number too, especially after receiving a text from "FromO2". It's quite evidently a scam. Best to just disregard it and add it to your block list.
