Had a rather unwelcome phone call from a chap representing an outfit dealing with housing issues. Quite intrusive, if you ask me.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Tenants Welfare Association. She inquired whether I was a tenant and mentioned there had been some damages to my property, suggesting I could potentially claim £1000. I was dubious and decided to hang up. Out of curiosity, I rang back the number that appeared on my phone, 0330 190 0176, only to be greeted by a monotone recording from something called 'Stop Debt.' Seems like I stumbled upon a right con artist with a dodgy number! Quite amusing, really!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the housing disrepair team. I quickly hung up and dialled the number back, but it turned out it was for Scot Debt or something. It didn’t sound quite right though, like it wasn’t a proper landline and a bit dodgy on the internet call. Definitely made me wary straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with a housing department. When I didn’t catch it the first time and asked them to say it again, they just asked if I owned my house, which I said I did. Then they just said have a nice day and ended the call. Pretty sure it’s some sort of scam targeting tenants or something. I’m really curious how they even got hold of my name in the first place...

Got a really cheeky call from some cold caller. I’ve gone ahead and told the telephone preference service about it, and if you’re signed up there too, I’d recommend doing the same. The more complaints they get, the better chance they get hit with a fine. The firm calling was called Spectrum Energy Guard Itd, and they’re based in Bournemouth.
