Beware of this deceptive scam! I received a message supposedly from the fraud team at Lloyds Bank about a transaction. They mentioned a one-off passcode required for a payment to Airbnb, or so they claimed. Honestly, just block this number and steer clear!

I received a text that appeared to be from my bank, urging me to ring this number as it claimed my account was in jeopardy. It seemed incredibly convincing, purporting to be from Lloyds Bank. Unfortunately, I ended up having a loan taken out in my name, which resulted in money being siphoned from my account. To make matters worse, they also accessed my joint account with my husband and attempted to withdraw funds from there too. Lloyds has been pathetically unhelpful in addressing this fraudulent activity, simply stating that I am responsible for repaying the loan if it's not retrieved. I sincerely urge everyone to be cautious and not get trapped in a scam like I did; my life has been turned upside down because of this nightmare.

This number is pretending to be from a legitimate bank. It’s definitely a scam! Always double-check any phone numbers against a trustworthy source to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.

I don’t have any accounts with Lloyds, so I decided to look up the number. Came across this site that claims it’s a scam! Text removed.

I've just received a rather clever scam message that claims to be from Lloyds Bank. The peculiar thing is, it didn’t even come from a proper phone number! It contained a "one-time passcode" supposedly for a transaction with Airbnb. To top it off, the number provided to ring if you suspect anything dodgy was connected to this nonsense, but the kicker is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds. Stay vigilant, folks!

Received a rather dodgy text this evening (30th September 2021). It’s clearly a scam, considering I’ve never held an account with Lloyd’s Bank. Here’s what the message said: "Your One Time Passcode is 935901 for a payment of £652.50 to AIRBNB - Ref: RBSJ7. If you didn’t request this, please phone fraud on 0330 190 0171." Steer clear of this nonsense at all costs!

I wouldn’t recommend doing any banking with Lloyd’s, honestly. It feels like a total rip-off!

I've experienced a complete con, as well. The scammer pretended to be from the Lloyds fraud department. I unwittingly got caught up in it, and they ended up locking me out of my own account, took out a loan in my name, and drained both that and my savings. However, I reached out to the real fraud team at Lloyds, and they've been incredibly supportive and helpful in sorting things out.

I recently got a message urging me to call 03301900171 regarding a Lloyds transfer that supposedly needs confirmation, or I’d simply be told it wasn't for me. When I requested the person’s name and a contact number to verify who they were, they didn’t provide any information at all and instead insisted that I should head to the nearest branch. Quite odd, if you ask me!

I got this message saying my One Time Passcode is 790247 for a payment of £395.53 to BINANCE with reference RBSJ. If I didn’t authorise this, I was instructed to contact their fraud department at 0330 190 0171. The odd thing is, I don't even have an account with Lloyds! Clearly, it’s some sort of scam.

SCAM ALERT! I received a call from a seemingly trustworthy chap purporting to be from the fraud division of Lloyds Bank. The number he rang from even popped up in my messages with the bank, which led me to believe it was legitimate. Alas, it was a ruse, and now I find myself a victim of theft, with my personal details and funds compromised.
