The caller actually knew both my first and last name, then asked if I had any debts. I told them no, and that I wasn’t interested in their services, then they just ended the call.

Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call claiming to be from Lloyds, saying someone had tried to get into my account without permission. When I rang the bank myself, they said they hadn’t heard anything about it. Shared the details with the police to keep them in the loop.

Got a recorded call claiming to be from Lloyds Bank’s fraud team, asking me to press buttons to confirm my name and choose my birth year from a list of options. That instantly raised red flags, so I just ended the call. Later I rang Lloyds on their official number and they told me they hadn’t called me at all.

I got a weird call from someone saying they were from Lloyds fraud squad, after I’d got some texts. They knew my name and everything. I rang Lloyds myself using the number on the back of my bank card to check it out, and thankfully the bank said it was just a scam and nothing funny had happened with my account.

Got a text telling me to ring Lloyds bank fraud team, number was 0330 190 0170. Felt a bit iffy about it.

I got a text from LloydsBank saying "Your OTP is 034217 for a £415.53 payment to REVOLUT - Ref: RBSJ." They told me to ring their fraud team on 0330 190 0170 if it wasn't me. Thing is, I had started applying for a Lloyds account but never finished, so I don't actually have one with them. This feels like such a dodgy scam, it's crazy how they just use the LloydsBank name to send fake messages.

Got a text claiming to be from Lloyds but doesn't seem legit at all, definitely a scam. Don't trust it!

Without a doubt, this number is a scam pretending to be Lloyds, but it’s absolutely not them! They’re really clever and will attempt to trick you into handing over your bank card details. You’ll get a text that looks like it’s coming from Lloyds because it shows up in the Lloyds message thread, making it seem legit. If you ever receive a passcode text for something you didn’t request, you should ring the number on the back of your debit or credit card, not the one included in the suspicious message!

Got a dodgy text saying it was from Lloyds bank with a code 702276. It claimed I made a £272.50 payment to Argos (some ref: rbsj3) and told me if I hadn’t done it, call fraud on 0330 1900 170. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds! Classic scam attempt, but honestly it only made me more aware of these message scams - hope others seeing this stay sharp too.
