Just had a run-in with Johnny Gupta and his lot, those dodgy foreigners pushing appliance insurance. Got them blocked straight away! They’re not just calling, I swear they're drifting over the channel in little boats next. I always used to tease my old man when he moaned "this place is going downhill". Well, a good few decades on, he's spot on. Told them flat out I ain't interested in dealing with foreigners, and I mean it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be updating my appliance insurance. She seemed to know quite a bit about my account, then asked which bank I used. After that, she wanted my sort code, but I refused to give it out. She got pretty pushy after that, so I made it clear I wouldn’t share any bank details on a phone call. Got a call from a woman who kept mumbling her name, couldn’t catch it at all. She said something about my appliance cover expiring in a couple of weeks and needed to be renewed. She even knew the first part of my address, which was a bit odd. Tried to set up an appointment for her supervisor to call me later, but I told her I’d already taken care of it. Next thing I know, she just slammed the phone down without saying anything! Proper cheeky. Blocked the number straight away. Seems like they were fishing for my bank info or something.

Just like a bunch of others, I got a call claiming "Appliance cover" was about to run out in a couple weeks (yeah, right!). They said someone’d ring me on Monday to sort it out and chat about anything else I needed. Asked if I wanted to renew then and there. When I asked what appliances they meant, they said Washing Machine, Fridge-Freezer and Cooker. Told them my name and number weren't on any of those purchase papers, and the caller just hung up. Smells like a dodgy scam to me! Number’s now blocked.

When I asked which one the insurance was for, they claimed it covered all three. That’s just not how this kind of insurance works - no policy I know covers multiple appliances bought separately like that. Feels like a total scam to me, watch out everyone!

Pretty sure this was one of those dodgy appliance insurance calls. They asked for my last name and postcode like clockwork, I suppose they get their info from some shared lists. It’s especially frustrating because my partner’s elderly mum gets loads of these unwanted calls (though maybe not from this exact company). Anyway, the woman on the phone was quite polite and hung up without fuss once I told her we didn’t want or need any insurance cover.

I got a call from some sort of call centre claiming to be "Appliance Direct Insurance". They’re one of those pushy groups constantly ringing my elderly, vulnerable relative trying to get her to buy stuff she doesn’t actually need. When I asked for their official company phone number, the person on the line said only her manager could give that out. So I asked to speak with this supervisor directly and the call was cut right then and there. I haven’t got proof they’re breaking the law yet, but it definitely feels suspicious and pretty dodgy to me.
