This number kept ringing my phone for days. Eventually, someone named Sarah spoke with a weird American accent, asking about an appliance cover renewal. I told her I never paid for any cover, and the call just stopped right there. Definitely a SCAM.

They claim there’s been dodgy spending on your Amazon account, mentioning big amounts spent on things you didn’t buy, and then they tell you to hang on to speak with their “advisors.” It’s all fake! They keep switching up the phone numbers too, coming back with new ones every few weeks. Proper suspicious stuff.

I keep getting calls from a 0330 number, which I reckon is one of those dodgy scam calls. I’ve seen calls from similar digits before and just ignored them. If you get a call from a number starting with 0330, it's almost certainly a scam! Just hang up and don't bother answering. This prefix seems to be popular with scammers these days.

On Tuesday 30th November 2021, I got a call from 0330 174 6790. The bloke who called himself "Bobby" told me my three appliances - fridge, fire, and hob (all info was spot on) - were due for renewal. He then said, as a loyal customer, I’d get a special renewal price. Thing is, I’d already renewed in September. His offer was actually 50% more than what I’m paying with my only insurer. Plus, he wanted me to start a new Direct Debit. I ended the call straight away. Honestly, as someone paying taxes, I think the government should seriously crack down on these fraudsters.
