This number calls me every single day at the exact same time. They left a robotic message pretending to be from Amazon claiming over £1000 was charged to my card. It told me to press 1 if I authorised it or 2 to speak to someone. Never heard this one before, but I never shop on Amazon so it's obviously a SCAM. Really pathetic behaviour to mess with honest folks just going about their day! Total harassment.

Then they asked for my personal info, which felt off since the passenger locator form already had all that. I didn’t give anything, and suddenly they started threatening me, saying I’d be reported for not helping and that I’d get into trouble. It got worse, so I just ended the call.

Got a call saying it was from TV Licensing about a missed fee of £11.90 or they’d send Debt Collectors round. They reckon my licence ends on 20th July and my last payment was declined by my bank. Said they’d stop all my TV stuff (which honestly sounds like a good thing!). If you read it closely, the grammar and spelling are awful. Totally looks like a SCAM to me.

Got a call from TV Licensing today asking for the first line of my address - total scam. My advice is to be really firm and just say no, then tell them to jog on and hang up. The caller insisted they had been emailing me monthly yet didn’t share which email they were using. They also mentioned previous calls and insisted I had to provide my postal address. To top it all off, they pressured me by saying I could call back, but there were 56 people waiting and they'd be shutting their lines at half past six, so it would be wiser to just give them the info. It definitely felt dodgy, although I’m not quite sure what their game is.

Someone pretending to be from the licensing dept called me but refused to share details until I verified my address. They said my account wasn’t current and then claimed the letter I got from the licensing agency about my direct debit was fraudulent. They rang me at 8pm on a Thursday night. I tried calling the number on the letter and checked the website - the offices were closed. How can they call me dishonest when the actual office isn’t even open? Feels like they’re fishing for my bank info.

I received a call from a chap named Mohammed, who claimed to be representing TV Licensing. The thing is, we already pay via direct debit! I'm quite concerned about this phone call since I've already settled my TV licence fee using my credit card. The transaction is clearly reflected on my bank statement, and I've even received a text on my mobile confirming it. Claimed to be from the licensing department. I pay my fees every three months, and when I pressed them about it, I suggested they contact me via email-where my licence was originally sent-but they just cut the call. When I attempted to ring the licensing office again, it turned out they had been shut for more than an hour. Clearly dodgy!
