I got a letter from the TV licence people because my direct debit stopped paying, and this number was on it. They use it to double-check if you still need a licence or not. Pretty official stuff from them.

On 23rd October 2020, I received a rather official-looking letter from TV Licensing, claiming there was an issue with my direct debit. They urged me to get in touch by ringing 03007906068. At first glance, it seemed completely legitimate, but something about it felt off to me, prompting my visit to this site! Reflecting on it, it does make one wonder if someone within the organisation has access to when my direct debit is scheduled. I'll keep an eye on developments; it could very well turn out to be the real deal.

looks like they're targeting the over 75s who now have to pay a licence fee. the letter really looks proper, even has payment methods explained on the back, but all they want is your bank info. total scam, really nasty stuff.

Got a letter from the TV licensing about an old tenant who lived at my place ages ago. The letter had a number on it, so I gave it a ring. A guy with an Asian accent answered and said the direct debit was linked to that old tenant. Still, I don’t understand why they sent it to my address. I checked again with him to confirm I had a licence myself, 'cause I’m paying by direct debit too. Now I’m starting to wonder if this whole thing was some kind of scam.

A couple days ago I got an email from this number claiming my TV licence direct debit had stopped and needed to be renewed. The email came from "no reply @fungluen(###" which looked pretty official at first glance. But since I've never paid my licence that way, I knew it was dodgy right away! Total scam in my opinion.

I got an email that looked like it came from TV licensing, but it was a fake one and it had this number on it. The thing is, the person who got it doesn’t even have a TV license. So please, don’t call this number or share any bank info with them - it’s definitely a scam.
