I just had a call from this number, looks like it’s coming from an Indian call centre. The voice was some kind of robot, pretending to be HMRC, talking about tax fraud. Heads up, HMRC always contacts you by letter first! Don’t press any buttons, especially option 7, and just hang up immediately. Total HMRC scam!

got a call from someone claiming to be the tax office, saying they’d get a warrant out and have me nicked. sounded oddly tempting tho. no nagging bills, proper meals 3 times daily, free sky tv, and even a yard to stretch my legs in. life might actually be simpler that way. obviously i didn’t hit 1. fingers crossed i get a lengthy stay behind bars now.

This week i've been getting loads of calls from 0300 numbers, usually the final four digits always change. I don’t answer any of them ’cause i reckon it’s spam. After reading the comments here, i’m really happy I didn’t pick up. My tip? Just avoid them completely!

I got a call from an automated voice claiming it was from HM Revenue and saying I owed taxes. It warned me that if I didn’t press 1, I’d be arrested. Total scam, obviously.

I received a call from this number, but it hung up before I had the chance to pick up. I tried returning the call, only to be met with a message claiming I’d dialled incorrectly. I can’t shake the feeling that this might be some sort of scam or a spam attempt.

This caller claimed they were from the tax office and said I owed some money. They left a quick warning saying if I didn't hit 1, I'd end up getting arrested. I didn’t press anything, of course.
