Earlier today, I got a call from 030020081060 but didn’t pick up - I figured it was probably connected to the same scam others are mentioning. People have been saying it’s HMRC claiming there’s tax fraud under their name and asking you to press 1 to speak to someone right away. Sounds dodgy, so I just ignored it.

Got a call claiming HMRC was looking into me for fraud, with an automated voice saying press 1 to talk to someone. I just ended the call straight away, knew it was a dodgy scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC about a tax issue. I’m not self-employed and only have income from my full time job, so it didn’t add up. They said I’d be arrested unless I hit 1 to talk to them. Definitely sounded like a scam.
