this number called me too and played an automated message claiming i was linked to tax fraud. it said to press a button to talk to some case officer or else a warrant would be issued and i’d be arrested soon. i believe hmrc always sends letters before making any calls like that, so i just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, but it was one of those dodgy scams with a pre-recorded message. Totally suspicious!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the HMRC fraud dept, said they had a warrant out for me. Sounded dodgy to me, so I didn’t give them any info and just hung up. Stay careful out there folks!
