got a call from this number today, sounded like some automated message just like the one i got a couple weeks ago. still no sign of them coming to arrest me after that, lol. anyone know if pressing 1 does anything or will it just eat up my phone credit? would be interested to chat if it’s real.

Just got a ring from this number but didn’t pick up cause I’m fed up with all those annoying scam calls. Lately, I’ve been getting threats about being arrested for tax fraud, and it seems like they’re switching numbers to try and catch people out. Best thing to do is to block it and forget about it, don’t even bother answering.

Had a call earlier from a robotic voice claiming to be from hmrc, telling me i’m under investigation for tax fraud. It said to press 1 if i wanted to talk about it. They warned that if i hung up, an arrest warrant would go out straight away. I reported this scam to hmrc at [email protected].
