7 yearsJust like others have said, they called me up and told me to pay £481 over the phone using my debit card right then and there. They claimed it was tax I supposedly owed from 2015 to 2017. I asked who exactly I was talking to and if I could speak to a manager, but then they just cut me off. Total scammers!7 yearsEver since I rang HMRC a couple of weeks back, I’ve been bombarded with scam calls. I’ve gotten like six automated messages all warning about fraud and a warrant or something. It’s so annoying!HMRC7 yearsGot loads of missed calls from a number, left a voicemail saying something about HMRC, a warrant and an arrest. Sounds like one of those typical scam calls.HMRC7 yearsThis was just rubbish, felt like they were up to no good.7 yearsI've blocked the number already, definitely just another scam.7 yearsI just received a call from this number and it was an automated message. Honestly, some folks just have way too much free time on their hands.7 yearsJust got a robocall saying it was from HM Revenue and Customs accusing us of being caught up in some fraud. Sounds like a total scam to me.HM Revenue and Customs7 yearsthis bloke called saying he was from hm revenue and customs, told me i have a court case i didn’t know about and they’re gonna send a warrant for my arrest. he said they’d sent someone on 22/01/2019 with a letter to my house and asked what i was up to that day. sounded dodgy as heck, like a massive overreaction. they tried to scare me with huge fines and said they’d frozen my bank account and driving licence. but i just checked my bank card and it’s working fine, and the dvla site says everything’s fine too. so yeah, pretty sure it’s a scam. i’ll say if anything happens.HMRCDVLA7 yearsPicked up the phone and imediatly hung up without saying a word.Submit Your Own Report (0300 200 3876)
