Just like others have said, they called me up and told me to pay £481 over the phone using my debit card right then and there. They claimed it was tax I supposedly owed from 2015 to 2017. I asked who exactly I was talking to and if I could speak to a manager, but then they just cut me off. Total scammers!

Ever since I rang HMRC a couple of weeks back, I’ve been bombarded with scam calls. I’ve gotten like six automated messages all warning about fraud and a warrant or something. It’s so annoying!

Just like a few others have said, I got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, saying there was a fraud claim against me. They asked me to hit 1 on my phone, but I quickly figured it was a scam and ended the call.

Just got a robocall saying it was from HM Revenue and Customs accusing us of being caught up in some fraud. Sounds like a total scam to me.

this bloke called saying he was from hm revenue and customs, told me i have a court case i didn’t know about and they’re gonna send a warrant for my arrest. he said they’d sent someone on 22/01/2019 with a letter to my house and asked what i was up to that day. sounded dodgy as heck, like a massive overreaction. they tried to scare me with huge fines and said they’d frozen my bank account and driving licence. but i just checked my bank card and it’s working fine, and the dvla site says everything’s fine too. so yeah, pretty sure it’s a scam. i’ll say if anything happens.
