Dont pick up the phone if you get a call like this! The message says to press 1 to speak with an agent, but if you dont, they claim you’ll get a warrant for arrest. Its all just a scam so best to just ignore and hang up.

Just so you know, this is the ACTUAL number for HMRC Collections, but fraudsters have found a way to SPOOF it. So if you get a call showing 03002003842, IT'S NOT REALLY HMRC - they’re pretending to be them. If they ask you to PRESS 1 to speak to their ‘call centre’, don’t do it! You’ll end up talking to the scammers who’ll try to trick you into paying bogus “unpaid tax”. If you ring 03002003842 yourself, you’ll reach the genuine HMRC team, but be warned, as of 19/03/2019, they’re super busy and struggling to deal with all the calls from people confused by these scams.

My girlfriend got the same dodgy call and when I realised it was a scam I jumped in on the phone and told the girl what she really was. She got a bit nasty after that. Does anyone know how to report this number? People who do this kind of thing should be reported so they get stopped for good.
