I got a robo call saying it was from HMRC accusing me of some tax fraud, telling me to press 1 to talk to someone or else I'd get arrested. I hit 1 a couple times but nothing came of it, then the call just ended. Looked it up here and turns out it’s all just a massive scam. Really grateful for this site!

Got one of those ridiculous calls today, supposed to be from HMRC about some tax fraud. They said if I didn’t press 1, I’d be arrested. Obviously, I didn’t bother pressing anything. No arrests yet, and I’m pretty sure there won’t be any. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Pretty much the same story here. I got a call warning me about some supposed tax fraud thing, so I hit 1 and ended up speaking to some dodgy scammer.
