Honestly, watch out for these bloody scammers trying to con you. I got a call saying there was a warrant for fraud against me. They told me to press 1 to speak with some officer s####. I told them to go jump, and she actually told me to fxxk off back, calling me a moron! What a joke!

I got a call from someone pretending to be an HMRC rep saying I could sort things out if I paid £2600, or else there’s a warrant for my arrest and a whopping £50,000 penalty fine. It all sounded really official and scary, but I knew it was a con. Still, being told you’re wanted for arrest is quite nerve-wracking! To make sure, I rang up HMRC myself to check, and of course, it was bogus. Then when the scammers called again to push for the payment, I told them I’d contacted HMRC and immediately the call dropped. Apparently real HMRC numbers start with 0300 200, but this dodgy number wasn’t real at all - calling it just dials out to nowhere, and the tax office knows scammers are faking their numbers. HMRC will never threaten or bully over the phone like that. If you get a call like this, just hang up and block the number straight away. The fake caller ID I got was 0300 200 3758.

Got a call from this so-called MRC number saying if you don’t hit 1 they’ll send the coppers round. I didn’t press anything and the call got passed to a lady claiming to be from HMRC.
