I received an automated message claiming that there's a fraud case linked to my name with HMRC, and apparently, a warrant has been issued against me. It instructed me to press 1 if I wanted to speak to an advisor. I’ve now blocked the number.

The recent scam calls relating to HRMC tax issues are particularly harmful to the elderly demographic. It's crucial to track down these perpetrators and ensure they face justice for their fraudulent activities!

Received a call from a robotic voice purporting to be from HMRC, alleging that I was involved in tax fraud and instructed me to press 1 for more information. I simply ended the call and subsequently blocked the number.

I received a call today, claiming it was about a purported tax fraud case involving the Inland Revenue. They said I had a warrant out for my arrest and instructed me to press one to chat with a representative. I complied and was connected to a rather fuzzy line where the handler revealed my name and reiterated the arrest warrant. When I requested more information about the specifics of the allegations, they abruptly hung up on me. Quite the alarming experience!
