For the past few weeks, I've been getting loads of calls from numbers like this one. They say they’re from HMRC and play a robotic message telling me there’s a fraud case against me. They want you to press 1 to hear more. I pressed it once but the call just dropped straight away. I’ve heard that if you do that, they might get into your personal info and could clear your bank or even open credit accounts in your name. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud because it seems to be a big scam that’s been going for months now. Real HMRC always send letters, never automated calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying I owed £2375 and had to pay within 45 minutes or I'd be arrested for tax evasion. I ended up telling the police about it straight away.

i picked up but said nothing, then they just hung up so i'm guessing it was some kinda robo call or spam.

Got a call from a robotic voice pretending to be HMRC, telling me there’s a fraud case against me. It said I had to press 1 on my phone immediately or they’d send out an arrest warrant. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!
