I've noticed the 0300 number keeps changing with every call, but it’s always the same annoying scam trying to pull a fast one.

Got a dodgy automated call telling me to press 1 or I'd be arrested. The voice claimed it was from HMRC and said there’s a fraud case against me. Pretty sure it’s a total scam since HMRC don’t even have my mobile number, so they wouldn’t be calling me like that. - caller says it’s HMRC but I’m not buying it.

Got a call from this number earlier and couldn't help but chuckle at how daft it sounded, so I just ended the call. If I'd been daft enough to hit 1, I bet they’d have left me waiting ages and probably landed me with a hefty bill of about £30 per minute. - Caller said they were from HMRC.

Got a call from this number just now and I’m sure it’s a scam. I didn’t press any buttons when they asked. Honestly, it’s sad how many people might get tricked by these things. HMRC would never contact you like that, trust me.
