Yep, got the exact same scam call here.

Total scam! Got a call just like the others mentioned, supposedly from HMRC saying they were sending cops with a warrant. Saw a TV program about this a couple weeks back warning everyone to just hang up. I hit 1 to hear what rubbish they had to say, then told the bloke he’d need to ring an actual police line. The guy started swearing and then ended the call. Absolute muppets!

Just had a call from 0300 200 3515 where they said I’d be arrested if I didn’t press 1. After I did, an Indian-accented person came on and started asking for my personal info. Is this a scam or what? Anyone else got this?

Got a call from this number saying I was involved in a fraud probe and to press 1. When I did, an American voice came on saying to hold while I was being put through, which instantly made me wary. Then some guy with a really thick Indian accent answered, and when I asked if it was a scam, he just said "pardon?" I told him to stop calling me and hung up straight away. I’ve already reported this number to HMRC because this kind of behaviour isn’t right at all!

I'm pretty sure this is dodgy, so I’ve already told Action Fraud about the number. It rang me but I didn’t pick up. HMRC doesn’t just randomly call like that, they’ve got proper procedures to follow. If there was any tax dodging going on, someone in uniform would show up in person, not just ring you out of the blue to sort it out.
