Saw this number pop up, had a quick look on here before picking up. Didn’t fancy taking the call, so just blocked it straight away.

Got a dodgy ring about HMRC tax dodging or something, saying I’ve got to press 1 or they’d come after me. Then after that, the number 03002003533 buzzed me, spouting the same rubbish. Total scam, watch out!

0300 200 3520 - avoid picking up or answering this number. They dropped a voicemail accusing me of being involved in fraud and said if I didn't hit 1, I'd have a warrant out for my arrest. When I rang them back, the line just said it was out of service. I got in touch with HMRC and they confirmed it’s a scam. They never send messages like that about fraud and told me to report it straight away.

Today, I received a couple of calls - one from this particular number and another from 0300 200 3529. They both purport to be from HMRC and ominously warned me about potential prosecution for fraud should I not hit 1! I've since blocked both numbers.

Got a call from this number claiming I was involved in fraud and owed a big debt to HMRC. The caller gave me a name and some case numbers that seemed legit. They warned me about getting arrested, going to jail, and my bank account being frozen - all really scary stuff. Then they told me if I paid straight away, everything would be sorted. The thing is, I’d just had my bank cleared out by criminals over the weekend, so I knew I had no money to give. When I mentioned this, they said the cops were already on their way. That’s when it hit me - total scam.

Absolutely a ripoff! Seriously, don’t even think about hitting one.

They threatened to arrest me if I didn’t pay my taxes right away today. I just ignored the call since I figured it was a load of rubbish, but honestly, some folks might’ve been really scared by what they said. Does anyone know if there’s a place we can report these scammers?

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s fraud on my account and to press 1 to speak to a caseworker or I’d get a warrant issued. The number looked a lot like the real HMRC one, but I’m pretty sure it was faked. Total phishing scam - don’t fall for it and definitely don’t press 1.

Pretty clear this is a scam. I got a robo call claiming I’d be arrested unless I hit 1. Total scare tactic. Don’t fall for it! Honestly, it makes no sense - the cops wouldn’t be rounding people up just because they didn’t press a button on their phone. If that was true, they’d be arresting loads of folks nonstop - like kids messing about with phones, older people who struggle with tech, or anyone who accidentally missed the prompt. Just don’t press anything!

Just got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, warning me about fraud on my account and telling me to press 1 to speak with a case officer or else a warrant will be issued... The number looked like a real HMRC one but I reckon it's spoofed. Pretty clear phishing scam - don't press 1 if you get it! - caller pretended to be HMRC

This number rang me with a pre-recorded voice saying to press 1 to speak to someone at HMRC about some fraud issue, or else I’d be arrested. Of course, I didn’t press anything and guess what? Still haven’t been arrested after a good few minutes. Pretty sure it’s a scam. - person pretending to be from HMRC

This definitely wasn’t HMRC. I hit 1 and ended up speaking to a bloke who was really rude and had awful English. He asked me for my name but I told him he should already have it since he’s the one who called me. Then he snapped back with something like ‘is your name so terrible you don’t wanna share it?’ and just hung up on me lol.
