Since Friday I've got three calls from this number, so I went ahead and blocked them all. Not really sure what else to try at this point.

Got a call from 03002003405 - an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC. They said I’m accused of fraud and if I don’t hit 1 right away, they’ll arrest me. Total scam!

This number has rung me a couple of times now. The initial time it was just a robotic voice, so I ended up hanging up straight away. The next time, a woman answered. Luckily, I had come across some warnings about this number on Watchdog and mates had mentioned getting calls like this too, so I was careful. Despite this, the calls keep coming through from the same number.

Got a call from 03002003405 - it was some robotic voice warning about a scam involving HMRC. They told me to hit 1, but as soon as I did, the call dropped! Proper dodgy if you ask me.

So I pressed 1 like it said, and some guy with an accent said he was from HMRC, asking me for my name. I told him if he’s gonna send a warrant, he should already have that info. He asked again, but I just said he’s a scammer. Then his accent changed to African and he hung up on me. Honestly, it's a 0300 number, and if the government really cared, they’d stop wasting time and actually sort things out properly.

Just like others have said, this number screams scam. It should seriously be blocked because it looks fishy. I reckon it could fool a few folks if you're not careful.

I got a creepy automated call claiming it was HMRC and said I was being investigated for fraud. They told me there was a warrant out in my name and address and if I didn’t press 1, the police would come and arrest me. Honestly, it was really frightening, especially for older or more vulnerable people.

Just got a call not long ago, an automated message claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs. They said there was some sort of fraud case about me and that if I didn’t hit 1 right away, they’d send people round to arrest me. Honestly, this kind of thing could really scare someone who’s on their own.
