got a robocall just like someone else mentioned, said there's a tax fraud issue with me and if i don't hit 1, a warrant will be issued for my arrest! it’s obvious this isn’t how official authorities would inform you about such serious stuff, so be careful and don’t get tricked by these scams!

I got a call like this too, saying I’m involved in a tax fraud and I must press 1 or they’ll arrest me. Totally a scam, yet I wonder how they manage to get my number to try and frighten people like that? The call was pretty scary at first, but I just hung up straight away.

Just got a call from 03002003378 with some robotic voice threatening to arrest me if i dont hit 1. I kinda panicked and pressed it straight away. The weird thing is, it was on my mobile where i have loads of personal info that i don’t want falling into the wrong hands. Should i be freaking out? What kind of trouble could this get me into now that i pressed the button?

Three separate phone numbers have all rang me saying the exact same thing about HMRC and tax dodging. Seems like a total scam to me. The worrying bit is, they even know where I live.

Got a call roughly a couple hours back, but I’d already had a few from the same number about ten days ago. So now I’ve turned off my voicemail and blocked all calls from any 0300200#### numbers. They just get a nonstop beep and can’t leave any messages. The last one told me I had a tax fraud arrest warrant waiting - that’s just not on. I had a stroke eight years ago and really don't need all this stress. These callers are downright nasty.
