Best to ignore that call altogether-grab a whistle just in case!

I suspect this might be a fraudulent tax scheme. They’re claiming I could be arrested if I don’t get in touch! Quite extraordinary, really.

Hi there, just a heads up about the number 02003003310. It's connected to 03002006612 and a few other similar lines. When I asked them to confirm the company name (SKNOLL) online, they went silent and cut the call. Seems a bit dodgy to me, so watch out!

Got a call from some bloke who clearly couldn’t spell my name right, wanted to talk about customs or something. And then they went and called me Paul, like seriously?! Haha, what a muppet.

Does HMRC ever ring with some generic automated message? Highly doubtful. These scam calls really need sorting out because it’s clear how easily they frighten vulnerable folks into falling for it.

I’m sick of these dodgy callers constantly ringing me. It’s like they’re making loads off people who are easy targets. They stay on one UK landline number for a day or two, then switch to another and keep running the same scam. The calls always come from UK numbers but are actually from abroad, and tracing them is impossible. I’ve written to my MP about tightening up rules for the companies that sell these UK numbers to overseas fraudsters, hoping police can get involved. You can find info on how to do this on the UK Parliament website.

Got a call earlier today, same old recorded voice saying it’s from HMRC, telling me i’m involved in some fraud thing and I need to "press 1 to speak to an advisor." Knew straight away if I did, they’d just drain my account or something. Ended the call sharpish.

Got a call from this number with an automated voice saying it was HMRC and they were filing a fraud case against me. They told me to press 1 or else they’d send a warrant. I quickly ended the call and made sure to report it to HMRC because it’s clearly a scam.
