03002003009 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03002003009 👆 is reported as a persistent scam posing as HMRC, where callers threaten arrest over unpaid taxes or immigration issues and demand payment by phone. Victims often receive robocalls with urgent, intimidating messages urging them to press a number, which may connect them to fraudsters seeking personal details. The callers sometimes use strong South Asian accents and fake names. Official HMRC correspondence would never be made in this manner, and genuine notices come via post. Many recipients have confirmed the number repeatedly rings without leaving credible messages, and some have warned others to block it immediately. Importantly, HMRC does not request payments over the phone in this way, so visitors are advised not to engage, provide information, or press any numbers.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said he was from HMRC and I owed money or I'd get arrested. I'm Spanish and my English isn't great, so I asked if he could send me a letter because I couldn't catch what he was saying properly. He said it was some immigration tax I hadn’t paid and that they don’t send letters anymore. Then he tried to make me pay over the phone... I ended the call and rang HMRC myself, turns out no such tax exists. Total scam.

I tried ringing my sister and got an automated voice message claiming they were on their way to take her into custody. Quite alarming!

I put this number on my blocked list, but somehow it still got through and left a voicemail. The message claimed there was a warrant out for me and that if I didn't hit 1, I’d be arrested soon. Sounds like a total scam to me, especially since they never said who they were or gave any details about me. So no need to worry! Definitely don’t press 1 - I reckon that’s how they cash in by connecting you to their line.

Received a call from 0300 200 3009 claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was about to be arrested for fraud. They wanted me to press 1, which I did. Then a bloke answered and asked if he could assist me. When I told him I’d just had that call, he suddenly ended the call. Strange behaviour!

Got two calls from this number, and when I answered the second one, it was some recorded message saying HMRC was investigating me for fraud. They said if I didn’t press 1, I’d get a summons. Seemed dodgy to me, so I just hung up. Definitely looks like a scam.

Ignored the call as I don’t pick up unknown numbers. Important stuff usually leaves a voicemail, and if it’s something urgent, I’d expect a letter through the post. For anything serious from HMRC, they’d send one of those official brown envelopes, then I’d pop down to my nearest tax office to sort it out. The number 0300 200 2999 seems to be from the same lot!

Got a ring from this number, and it was some recorded voice telling me I was being looked into for tax dodging and to press 1. Then an Indian bloke came on, then he passed me over to an Indian lady who asked for my name and address and went over the whole investigation thing again. I told them I’m not working right now, and they just ended the call straight away. Pretty clear this was a dodgy scam!

I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, and they even left a rather alarming message. It claimed that I'd be arrested if I didn’t press 1 to speak with someone, claiming to be from HMRC. It's all a bit dodgy, if you ask me!

I got a call from 0300200309 too, the guy on the other end said his name was Steve Johnson but he had a really thick Pakistani accent. When I asked who it was, he jumped straight into telling me I owed 2500 in unpaid taxes. I just chuckled and said, “Really?” and before I could say anything else, he ended the call. Pretty weird!

I ignored the first call, but they kept ringing me, kept coming through even on bad connection. The bloke on the line already knew where I lived and my full name, which honestly freaked me out. He said there’s some criminal stuff going on with me and even gave me a case number along with a warrant ID. Now they’re threatening to send the police over to arrest me!
