Just like others have said, got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC - total scam. Funny enough, today I also got a dodgy email saying I was due a rebate. Makes you think if these things are connected somehow? Proper fishy if you ask me.

So this caller said they were from HMRC, which made me feel uneasy right away since all my taxes come through PAYE. Didn't waste time, just blocked the number straight off.

Had a dodgy call today from someone threatening me with arrest over supposed tax fraud. Definitely a scam trying to scare people.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC. When I picked up, there was a pre-recorded message telling me my name was linked to some fraud activity. Then, it switched over to a person on the line. I asked them to prove they were actually from HMRC, but the lady just said something like, "You’ll find out when the police arrive in 45 minutes." I told them they were scammers and hung up straight away. I bet they’re targeting vulnerable folks and ripping them off big time.
