I reckon 0300 200 2989 is some sort of trick, so now I've just put a block on all numbers starting with 0300 2. Too risky to answer!

I keep getting calls from random numbers telling me there's a warrant out for me and to press 1 or else. This isn’t the first time either, I’ve had loads of different numbers do the same thing. I’ve blocked them all but now it’s from unknown numbers instead! It’s happening about 4 times a week at least, really annoying.

This number rang me and when I pressed 1, I figured out pretty quick it was dodgy. I also saw there’s like 20 other numbers starting with 0300 200 doing the same thing.

Got a call today from an automated voice saying it was HMRC trying to scam me. Sounded really dodgy, so I didn’t answer properly. Definitely one of those scam calls pretending to be from the tax office. Watch out, it’s all fake!

I received a rather alarming phone call earlier, claiming to be from HMRC, and implying that I was on the verge of being arrested for tax fraud. The conversation was quite short, and I have my doubts as it felt like it was a pre-recorded message. It insisted that I ring them back, but my instincts told me that it couldn’t possibly be genuine, so I chose to hang up instead. I tried to reach out to HMRC using a credible number, yet I was met with an agonisingly long wait time. I also attempted to call the non-emergency police number, but that too was unhelpful. Now I find myself in a rather amusing predicament, wondering if the police will actually come to arrest me. Quite the experience, considering I’ve never been in trouble with the law before!

I've had like six calls now and every time I pick up, they just say some rubbish I can't make out before slamming the phone down. It’s getting really annoying. Whenever I block one number, they just ring from a number that's almost the same but with one digit changed. Proper frustrating!

Got a call claiming there’s a fraud case on me, asking me to press 1 to sort it out. Don’t fall for it, it’s a scam!

Just like everyone else has mentioned, this is the usual HMRC scam. They say there’s some kind of fraud on your account and then tell you to press one for help or advice. Total rubbish.

I've gotten three calls now, each from a different number, but they all say the same thing about a fraud case linked to my name from hmrc. Every number starts with 0300 200, so I've just decided to block every single call starting with 0300. Problem solved!
