This number called me but I didn’t answer and there was no voicemail or anything. After reading the earlier comments, I’m just gonna ignore it.

I received a call from someone posh, sounding like a serious chap from HMRC. He warned me that I was at risk of arrest for fraud and insisted I hit number one on my phone. Quite bizarre, really!

Ignore any calls like this, it's obviously a scam trying to get you to respond. Best to just hang up and not even say a word.

Got a voicemail saying there’s some tax fraud case under my name and to press a number to sort it out...I just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

I've received a call just like those I've seen mentioned before. A bloke with a booming voice was on the line, claiming to be from HMRC, saying they were about to have me arrested for fraud unless I pressed 1. Should I bother letting the authorities know about it?

Just ignore the call and put the phone down straight away, don’t push any buttons. Got one of those dodgy scammers trying to scare me about tax offences. Honestly, they’re vile and deserve to be tracked down and sorted out without any pity.

Got a call from some robot telling me I owe the tax office and that I’ll get nicked if I don’t pay up. Total load of rubbish, don’t fall for it!
