Just like with Mr C, I got a message from a recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC talking about some tax fraud tied to me. They said if I didn’t hit 1, I’d be looking at a warrant and possible arrest. The number showing was 0300 200 2957. Definitely felt like a scam trying to scare me.

This number rang me too, with an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC. It said I was involved in a tax fraud investigation and if I didn’t press 1 right away, I’d have a warrant out for my arrest. Honestly, it’s shocking that anyone would stoop to this sort of scaremongering. Can’t believe HMRC would ever get in touch like that. I just got a call from a robotic voice claiming it was HMRC telling me I had a tax fraud case against me. It warned that if I didn't hit 1, a warrant would be issued and I’d be arrested right away. The number showed up as 0300 200 2957. Totally dodgy!

Got a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC saying there's some fraud case against me. I just ended the call straight away. I’m pretty sure HMRC wouldn’t reach out like that, plus I doubt they even have my correct phone number. The number that called was 03002002957.
