Got a robo call saying if I don’t press one, HMRC will issue a warrant for my arrest. Total scam alert. Please don’t pick up or respond to that number, it’s just scammers trying to pull a fast one.

Got a call from 03002006206 where an automated voice warned me to press one or else HMRC would issue a warrant for my arrest. Obviously a total scam. Best not to pick up or engage with these nasty scammers at all.

Got a robocall saying HMRC were about to put a warrant out in my name if I didn’t press 1. I did press 1 and ended up talking to a guy who had a really thick accent. The whole thing seemed dodgy, so I just ended the call. Checked my HMRC account and there’s nothing wrong at all.

Like others have mentioned, I got a call claiming to be from HMRC, saying I had unpaid taxes and that a warrant was about to be issued. These scammers really should be put to an end. I thought my phone had some kind of block for these calls, but clearly it didn’t do its job.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, said they were looking into my taxes and if I didn't press 1, I’d be arrested right away. Total scam, really disgusting stuff!!! Don’t ever press 1, just hang up straight away and don’t let it stress you out!

The moment I got that recorded voice saying "This is HMRC," I just hung up straight away. Honestly, if someone buys into this scam, maybe they really shouldn’t be given a phone, email, or any way to contact people. It’s really for their own protection, in my opinion.

I just received a rather alarming message from HMRC claiming they were going to arrest me. Is this some sort of scam?

I got a voicemail from HMRC saying there was a warrant out for me. Feeling worried, I foolishly pressed one to find out what it was about. A man with a thick accent then asked for my name, and as I spelled it out, he abruptly cut off the call. I was really shaken, so I tried ringing back but no one picked up. When I checked, the line said it was temporarily unavailable :(

Got a call from a recorded voice claiming to be HMRC, saying that if I didn’t hit 1 to speak with them, they’d get a warrant out for my arrest! Totally fake, a proper SCAM like.

The issue is all those numbers are fake, they just spoof your caller ID. When you see something like 03002002268 pop up, it could just as well say "FAKENUMBER" on your screen. Any number starting with 0300200---- should be considered a scam and you best just end the call. These call centres from India keep ringing non-stop, sometimes up to 10,000 times a day. Don’t even think about pressing 1, just hang up straight away.

I keep getting calls from this number followed right after by a mobile marked "unknown." I've learned to ignore them now, but I worry about those who might pick up when it’s someone who’s more trusting!

part2. Some people have been fooled into sending money more than once because they were told the initial payment failed. After these worrying discoveries, the Indian police have assured they’ll deal with these pretend tax officials. Charlie Elphicke, a Tory MP on the Commons Treasury committee, stated: “It’s not right that scammers can scam honest British workers. “Phone scams usually hit the most vulnerable, causing them financial loss and a lot of upset.”

Daily Mail part1. In Ahmedabad, a group of 18 con artists was uncovered thanks to an investigation by Daily Mail. They run a bogus call centre, randomly picking people straight from the BT phone directory online. Using a prepared script, they push victims to cough up money straight away. One scammer said to Daily Mail, “We scare them. When they’re freaked out, they end up paying.”

Got a call from this number earlier and my phone flagged it as possible scam, so I blocked it right away. If I ever do pick up, I’m gonna tell them to send the cops to lock me up since there’s no way they’re getting any money out of me. Being behind bars means they definitely won’t see a single penny!

‭0300 200 2268‬ called me today, and since I’ve already blocked a pretty similar number, ‭0300 200 2267, I figured it’s probably the same company. When I tried to ring them back, the voicemail was a woman’s voice saying the “number cannot be reached.” Something about it just felt dodgy, so I went ahead and blocked this one too, just to be safe.

I got a voicemail on my cell the other day that seemed like a typical spam call. They said it was from HMRC and warned that if I didn’t hit 1, they’d send a warrant to arrest me. Honestly, it felt pretty scary and intimidating. Just a heads up, don’t press 1 - make sure to tell your phone provider and report it to Action Fraud.

I got a robotic call from someone saying they were from "Her Majesty's Revenue", claiming I was caught up in some tax fraud business. They warned me to press 1 to sort it out or I'd get arrested right away. I just ended the call and figured I'd deal with whatever happens later!

Loads of calls from the same 0300 number, claiming to be HMRC and threatening me. I’ve been telling them about English law and that they’re breaking it. Every time, they threaten the police will arrive in 20 minutes, then just cut me off. Still waiting for any sign of the police though! It’s a bit of a laugh at this point.

Hey everyone, just a heads up - it’s Saturday 15th June and these calls haven’t stopped yet. Take my advice and listen to what others have said: don’t pick up. I’ve blocked one number, but I’m sure they’ll ring from another 0300 number with a different ending soon. Stay cautious!

Yeah, just like I mentioned about an hour back, they keep changing the last four numbers every day. If you get a call from anything starting with 0300200, it's just another fake scam call. Best thing to do is hang up straight away and block them. They cycle through loads of different combos on those final four digits, so it's a complete waste of time trying to deal with them.
