Got a call outta nowhere telling me I’ve been involved in fraud, and if I don’t press #1 to chat with an HMRC official, they said I’d get arrested. Proper stressful stuff!

Got a voicemail saying the tax office’s about to throw me in jail for fraud!!! They pressured me to hit 1 straight away or they’d send out an arrest warrant!!! If it turns out I actually get pinched, I’ll take back the complaint but till then... watch out for this scam!!!

There's a prevalent con doing the rounds at the moment where these scammers make intimidating threats of arrest if you fail to cough up cash. Just don’t engage with the call.
