I received a rather alarming phone call from a robotic voice purporting to be from HMRC, asserting that I had engaged in tax fraud. They insisted that if I didn’t press 1 to speak to someone, I would be facing arrest. Curiously, this call came through immediately after I had shared my number while seeking a quote from Admiral Insurance. The number from which I received this dubious call was 03002001869.

I had a similar experience earlier today; they’re clearly still up to their tricks! Unfortunately, it’s not a bit of fun for those who fall victim to their schemes-receiving such a call can be quite alarming. Please spread the word! The number I encountered was 03002001869.

I just had a rather concerning phone call from the number 0300 300 2300, claiming that I've been involved in fraudulent activity and that the authorities were on their way to arrest me! They even asked if I had a solicitor. When I mentioned that I did, they promptly ended the call. Quite the shocking experience!

I received a rather fragmented, mechanical voice on the line informing me that a fraudulent case had been lodged against me with HMRC. It ominously warned that if I failed to press "1" to speak with the appropriate officer at once, a warrant would be issued for my arrest, and I wouldn’t have much time to spare. As a solicitor, I found the entire scenario utterly laughable-not to mention absurd since, let’s be honest, it’s not like we’ve got robots patrolling the streets just yet! In the spirit of amusement brought on by such daft calls, I had a jolly good laugh and decided to ring them back immediately, eager to keep the fun going. To my surprise, I was met with a recorded message announcing, “this number is currently unavailable, please try again later.” Seems I might have given them quite the fright! Oh dear, sweet souls. I can only assume that if they persist in their little misadventures, they’ll inevitably reap what they sow and find themselves on the wrong side of the bars, while the rest of us carry on blissfully free, all the while avoiding any potential soap mishaps during their morning routines! - caller: An Imbecile attempting to swindle unsuspecting folks.
