I've just had a rather alarming phone call from 0300200 0274, featuring a pre-recorded message claiming that there's some sort of tax fraud case filed against me. It urged me to press 1, stating that failure to do so would result in my immediate arrest. I find it hard to believe this could be genuine!

Bit embarrassed really, I nearly got caught out by this one even though I spoke to HMRC just the week before! If you get a call from this number, best thing to do is just hang up and block it straight away. Cheers to finding this site, saved me a lot of hassle!

Got a call from some lot claiming to be HMRC, reckoning they were linked to Jimmy Savile or something daft like that. Proper scam trying to shove nonsense down your throat. Avoid these eat s##t types at all costs.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was a fraud case against me. They made me press 1 to talk to an agent and kept warning that if I hung up, I'd be arrested soon! So naturally, I just hung up and now I'm "waiting for my arrest." These scammers are daft and totally fake.
