I got a call from 0300200 0274 today, and it was just a recorded voice telling me I've been accused of tax fraud. They said I had to press 1 or I'd be arrested straight away. Sounds totally bogus to me, there's no chance that's legit.

Bit embarrassed really, I nearly got caught out by this one even though I spoke to HMRC just the week before! If you get a call from this number, best thing to do is just hang up and block it straight away. Cheers to finding this site, saved me a lot of hassle!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was a fraud case against me. They made me press 1 to talk to an agent and kept warning that if I hung up, I'd be arrested soon! So naturally, I just hung up and now I'm "waiting for my arrest." These scammers are daft and totally fake.
