Got a dodgy call claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs accusing me of tax fraud or some other scam. It was some rubbish recorded message, clearly trying to trick folks into handing over cash. There’s a bunch of these HMRC scams going about, same sort of numbers popping up - looks like they’re targeting people mainly on Fridays, I had one of these calls just last week too. If you get one of these calls, make sure you report it to HMRC’s phishing team! They absolutely would never ring you up like that!

Received an alarming message about an arrest notice, instructing me to press 1 to speak to some officer from HMRC. Complete nonsense! And the number? Totally unrecognised.
