Got a call from this number on Saturday 18th October 2025. I didn’t pick up but checked who it was afterwards. Turns out it’s linked to a debt scam. Would strongly recommend not answering as the caller is both annoying and potentially harmful. Definitely a scammer.

Some woman called who couldn’t say my name right, didn’t even let me speak to confirm it was me. She claimed to be from some ‘link’ company or something. These people are actual debt collectors, they purchase debts and then try to get the money back. I’m on a Debt Relief Order because I got sick and couldn’t keep working. Normally, the DRO would make them stop ringing me but they keep harassing me anyway. I’ve ended up reporting them to the Insolvency Service.

Got a call on my landline and they wanted to speak to my daughter. Thing is, she never gives out this number, so I was suspicious straight away. The caller said they were from Link Financial Solutions, though their accent made it sound more like "Wink" or something. It’s Link Financial Services calling. At first it sounds like a scam because of the automated voicemail, but it’s legit. They’re a debt collection company, so if they ring you up, chances are you owe money to someone. They purchase debts from other firms - like in my case, I owe Ford for my car but caused a default after losing my job (bit of a long story). So Ford sold off the debt to Link, which means I have to pay them now.

For sure, Link Financial is legit. I rang their main number on my home phone but ended up dropping the call by mistake. They quickly called me back from this number on my mobile.

They’ve rang me a couple of times this week and left a voicemail saying they were from Bamboo and needed me to get in touch straight away. I do have a loan with Bamboo but it’s nearly finished and I’ve never missed a payment!

This is a debt collection agency handling the debts left by my late dad’s estate. It’s a tricky spot since we hadn’t been in touch for more than a decade, but I’m the only close family member. They’ve been really kind, polite, and supportive - nowhere near pushy or rude. They actually seem to get the situation well, and their letters were clear and professionally written. I only looked them up because the number was new to me, wasn’t saved in my contacts.

It’s from Link Financial, but I’ve no debts and I wouldn’t be handling stuff like that for anyone. Had loads of calls from them already, and there’s no way I’m calling them back.

We keep our answering machine switched on all the time! They hang up straightaway as soon as they catch a whiff of the recorded message! It seems to be the same story with other similar calls too!

Seeing the comments about this number being linked to Link Financial, I decided to call as I have a couple of accounts with them. No outgoing calls showed up on my account when I checked with them. I've answered this number twice now, and both times the call ended straight away. I've gone ahead and reported it. Pretty sure this ain't connected to Link Financial at all!

ASSET LINK actually manages the office, but the phone number is used by several financial firms across Wales. I’ve got a loan thru Elmwood Park, which is just a small division of ASSET. They specialise in buying debts from businesses that have gone bust. They’re not dodgy whatsoever, pretty reasonable really. So, it’s worth checking the facts before throwing around bad reviews. If you had a secured loan with PICTURE FINANCE or other similar companies that went under, chances are these people now hold that debt.

Someone rang me pretending to be from a debt collection company, saying I owed money which I definitely didn’t. They wanted my address and date of birth for verification. I purposely gave them a fake birthdate and they just accepted it like it was legit. After that, I just hung up.

Got a call from this number but they hung up quickly. Looks like they might be one of those companies that buy up debts and then try to collect. I cleared my debt ages ago, so not sure what they hope to get from me since I never owed them anything in the first place. No agreement, no debt. They really need to show some proof before bothering me again.

Link Financial Outsourcing seems legit, I got a letter from them about some Barclaycard debt as well. Not sure how they managed to get my landline number since I hardly share it. I've just gone ahead and blocked them on my landline now.
