Link Financial is actually a real firm - what they do is purchase your debt from whoever you owe, then they contact you to collect it. It’s supposed to help you avoid more interest piling on from the original creditor. At first, I was sceptical but I gave them info about a debt I had and they even knew when I stopped making payments and all. If you ignore them, this can end up on your credit report, probably Experian or something, which could mess with your credit score down the line if you want to borrow. I’d recommend checking with Citizens Advice before making any decisions so you get proper guidance.

I keep getting texts from some company called Link saying they need to talk about my account. Problem is, I don’t have any account with them at all. Feels like a total scam since they haven’t even caught my name right. Definitely dodgy, wouldn’t trust it.
