So, this lady called herself Alison and said she was with o2. She told me there’s a 40% off deal on paperless bills for loyal o2 users, completely free of charge. When I asked why she wasn’t calling from an o2 number, she just cut the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I received a call from someone pretending to be from O2, which is amusing as I’m indeed an O2 customer myself. They were on about providing me with a discount on my bill. Interestingly, they sent me a code via text from a number that seemed to belong to O2. The message advised me to hang up and get in touch with O2 directly, as this was likely a scam. The caller, however, suggested I could disconnect and ring back to provide him with the code. Naturally, I terminated the call and reached out to O2. While it may sound quite plausible and tempting to ring back, sharing that code could potentially give the scammer access to my My O2 account. Best to be cautious!

They called saying they wanted to close my "case file" about the accident I'd been in and check I was satisfied with everything. But honestly, they didn’t have any real file on me - just my name, number, and that I'd had some sort of accident in the past three years. They’d obviously got that info from someone else. Felt like a total fib so they could push some product on me, if you ask me.
