There was this young bloke, said his name was Clive (which I thought was a bit of a laugh, "Clive of India" and all that). He claimed to be ringing from the telephone preference service call centre. He asked how well the call blocking was working for me. I told him, "Not great, seeing as you’ve rung me now." He argued back saying it wasn’t a cold call. I shot back, “It is, if TPS wanted to get in touch they’d send me a letter.” After that, he just gave up and hung up.
