Some bloke with an Indian accent called, claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management. Said my call blocking subscription was ending today and I had to sign up again right away!!! He even rattled off my address and postcode, then mentioned my visa expires in 2019. When I said I wasn't sure about that, he just told me to check it myself!!! Proper scam. He kept talking over me and raised his voice whenever I asked for clarification. Finished by saying my service would be cut off today, then hung up on me.

Received a call purporting to be from the TPS, only to be quizzed about my debit card info. Ridiculously persistent, they’ve rung me six times in just three hours. On two occasions I picked up, and it was complete silence! Quite astonishing, really. They claim they’re here to put an end to unwanted calls, yet they’re the very ones making the nuisance.

This number kept ringing me 15 times today, so I picked up at last. Just like the others have said, the bloke mentioned something about me signing up for a landline contract. I kept asking him who my provider was and kept telling him to take me off their call list, repeating it for a good six minutes until he just stopped. And yep, they called again after that!

After having missed six calls from the same number, I finally picked up. The bloke on the line had a not-so-British accent and called himself "Shaun." He told me that if I signed up again with the telephone preference service, all the annoying calls would stop from midnight onwards. I cut him off pretty quickly and didn’t let him continue.

He called me up, said he was from some phone company and asked if I was getting annoying calls. When I said yes, he told me I wouldn’t have to deal with them anymore. Then he tried to check my address, repeating it back to me on the phone. I told him that wasn’t happening and just ended the call.
